Mr. Anshul Jain, Advocate for the petitioner Ms. Shruti, AAG Punjab ***** AMAN CHAUDHARY, J. (ORAL) 1. Learned counsel submits that the petitioner, who retired on 30.09.2016 on attaining the age of superannuation, has not been released any retiral benefits including the regular pension on account of there being FIR No. 8 dated 26.03.2003, wherein prosecution sanction was declined and he was even promoted thereafter and similarly situated employee, involved in the same FIR, has been released the due pension and retiral benefits for which, reference is made to Annexure P-6, it being CWP-18927-2017, decided on 05.07.2019. In this regard, a legal notice dated 04.02.2025, Annexure P-5, has been served upon respondents, however, the same has yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to MOHIT 2025.05.27 16:50 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP-15378-2025 (O&M) -2decide the legal notice dated 04.02.2025, within a period of 4 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to him and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to his interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioner shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
