CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KARAMJIT SINGH Present :
Mr. K.D. Sachdeva, Advocate for the petitioner. Mr. H.S. Grewal, Addl. A.G. Haryana.
RAJAN GUPTA, J Petitioner, who was initially granted parole by the High Powered Committee, seeks extension thereof for two to three months. He was convicted for offences under sections 363, 366, & 376-D IPC. He was released on parole for two months vide order dated 06.05.2020 and was to surrender before the authority on 02.07.2020. According to learned counsel, release period of parole was extended till 17.04.2021. Thereafter, petitioner reported to jail authorities on 18.04.2021 but they refused to take him back in jail. Learned counsel submits that petitioner has been making representations to the High Powered Committee but no decision has been taken.
We do not find any substance in the plea of petitioner. In the eventuality jail authorities refused to take him back in jail, it is inexplicable why he did not surrender before the court of competent jurisdiction. Besides, the entire matter pertains to proceedings of the High Powered Committee which was constituted pursuant to order of the Hon'ble Supreme court in Suo Moto Writ AJAY KUMAR 2021.10.08 14:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CRWP-8886-2021 -2Petition (Civil) 1/2020. Thus, this court does not find any ground to entertain the plea of the petitioner for extension of parole. Dismissed. (RAJAN GUPTA) JUDGE (KARAMJIT SINGH) JUDGE 08.10.2021 AJAY KUMAR 2021.10.08 14:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
