***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Petitioner, in the present petition, has superannuated on 30.04.2018 after availing extension in view of interim order. Admittedly petitioner has worked during this period.

Law is settled on the point that extension cannot be claimed as a matter of right yet petitioner having completed his term in view of interim order, no useful purpose would be served by further adjudicating upon the matter.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that disciplinary proceedings are pending against him and enquiry officer has already submitted his report on 04.07.2018. He prays that the State may be asked to take a final decision thereon at the earliest. Learned State counsel submits that appropriate decision shall be taken at the earliest in any case not later than two months. No other cause of action survives in this petition. Same is hereby disposed of.
