The petitioners have approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to respondents No.1 to 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 to 7. 2.

The petitioners, who both are stated to be aged 20 years, claim to be in a 'live-in' relationship, which is not to the liking of parents and brother of petitioner No.2-Amritpal Kaur, who have been threatening the petitioners to eliminate them.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and without commenting anything on the veracity of averments made in the petition or the sanctity and validity of alleged relationship of the petitioners, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Kaithal, District Kaithal to look into the matter and to dispose of the representation dated 12.10.2020 (Annexure P-3) in accordance with law.
