Instant petition has been filed under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure for directing the trial Court to release the petitioner on bail on his appearance in the trial Court in FIR No.169 dated 04.11.2016 registered under Section 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Mehtiana, District Hoshiarpur, as non-bailable warrants have been issued against the petitioner vide order dated 04.01.2019 (Annexure P-5). After arguing for sometime, counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is ready to surrender before the trial Court, join the proceedings and file a petition for grant of regular bail.
