 The instant petition has been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.131 dated 04.12.2023, under Section 306 IPC, 1860, registered at Police Station Cantt. Ferozepur, District Ferozepur (Annexure P-1) and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise deed dated 22.05.2024 (Annexure P-2), executed between the parties.

 Learned State counsel has filed status report by way of affidavit of Sh. Sukhwinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, City Ferozepur, on behalf of respondent-State of Punjab, which is taken on record. 3.

Mr. Abhaysher Singh, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of the complainant and filed his 'vakalatnama', which is taken on record. 4.

After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition since the investigation is still going on. SIMRANDEEP KAUR 2024.08.14 17:38 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment.
