The petitioner has approached this Court under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a mandamus directing the respondents to decide the representations of the petitioner dated 09.12.1996, 28.08.2007, 24.04.2010 and 06.04.2015 (Annexure P-5 Colly) which are pending before respondent No. 4 and to allot the shop in the Sabzi Mandi Area.

Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia submitted that representations (Annexure P-5 Colly) have been filed before respondent No. 4 but no decision has been taken thereon. He prayed that the petitioner would be satisfied if a direction is issued to the authority concerned to decide the aforesaid representations in a time bound manner in accordance with law, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner, perusing the present petition and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, we dispose of the present petition by directing respondent No. 4 to take a decision on the representations (Annexure P-5 Colly), in accordance with law by passing a speaking order and after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
