The petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail in a case registered vide FIR No.246 dated 18.10.2014 under Sections 467, 468, 471, 472, 392, 420/120B IPC, Section 16 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 and Section 25(6) (7) & (8) of the Arms Act, 1959 at Police Station Kotwali Faridkot, District Faridkot.

The learned State counsel, upon instructions from SP Jaskirat Singh, has informed that in the instant case, the investigation has already concluded and challan stands presented and that neither the petitioner has been nominated as an accused nor the prosecution is proceeding against the petitioner. 3.

In view of the aforestated position, the instant petition is rendered infructuous and is disposed off as such. However, the counsel for the petitioner has submitted that since the petitioner has apprehension that the KAMAL KUMAR 2021.09.03 13:56 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-33134-2020 (O&M) police might further investigate the matter so as to implicate the petitioner, the petitioner may be afforded one week's time, in case he sought to be arrested in connection with this very FIR at a later stage. 4.
