Civil writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter-alia, for issuance of writ in the nature of Certiorari to quash the impugned office order dated 08.08.2016, whereby petitioners were relieved from respective post(s) of Chairmen/Member(s), Permanent Lok Adalats (Public Utility Services), for short 'PLA (PUS)' in the State of Punjab.

Admittedly, all the petitioners were appointed as Member(s)/Chairmen from 20.11.2012 to 29.04.2014. Also matter of record that in view of the interim stay dated 16.09.2016, they rejoined their duties and that arrangement has been ordered to continue from time to time.

Learned counsel, on instructions from petitioners, submits that the present petition has been rendered infructuous and the same be disposed off as such.
