Present Contempt Petition has been filed by the petitioner alleging violation of order dated 06.03.2017 passed by this Court in CWP No. 18279 of 2016 titled as "Vidya Devi vs. Uttari Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd. and others"; wherein the following direction is given:- "Learned counsel for the respondents submitted that grievance of the petitioner is relating to counting of service particulars towards pensionary benefits of her late husband Sh. Darya Singh for the period from 1.6.1980 to 10.5.1993 has been counted and arrears of pay has been calculated. To that extent, cheque dated 02.03.2017 to the tune of 1,76,024/- has been drawn in favour of the petitioner and the same has been handed over to learned counsel for the petitioner. In view of this development, petition do not survive for consideration. The respondents are directed to pay

At the very outset, it is admitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that as noted in the above order dated 06.03.2017, cheque dated 02.03.2017 to the tune of Rs.1,76,024/- was paid to the petitioner by way of arrears of pay. It is submitted that however interest @ 6% thereupon, has not been paid by the respondents. 3.
Learned counsel for the respondents opposes above submissions of the petitioner and submits that interest amounting to Rs.5,150/- stands paid to the petitioner. it is accordingly submitted that no contempt is made out against the respondents and the present petition deserves to be dismissed.

A perusal of the record reveals that it has been admitted by the petitioner herself in para 6 of the present petition that letter dated 12.12.2019 (Annexure P-3) was sent by the respondents to the petitioner; thereby intimating her that cheque No. 640711, a photocopy of which is on record as Annexure P-4, has been issued on 11.12.2019 for payment of interest of Rs.5150/- and she was asked to collect the cheque from the ofÏce of respondents on any working day. The petition further reveals that the petitioner is aggrieved of the incorrect and insufÏcient amount of ₹5150/- paid to her towards interest.

However, the calculation in arriving at the said figure of Rs.5,150/- is at Annexure R1 with the reply dated 17.01.2021 filed by the respondents, which reads as follows: - Date of institution of CWP 18279 of 2016 5.9.2016 Date of payment of pensionary benefits 2.3.2017 Amount paid Rs.176024 Interest Period 5.9.2016 to 2.3.2017 Total days during which interest was due 178 days Amount of interest (170624 x 6/100 x 178/365) Rs.5150 Interest paid vide cheque number 640711 dated 11.12.2019 Rs.5150 6.
No rejoinder has been filed by the petitioner disputing the above said calculation; or filing an amended/corrected calculation. 7.
Accordingly, no further directions are required to be issued. The present Contempt Petition is hereby dismissed. 8.
Rule stands discharged.
