Petitioner, a Sub Station Attendant working in the respondent Corporation filed this writ petition seeking a direction to respondent-board to allow him to continue in service till the age of 60 years as per notification No.17/20/2010-2 PP2/132 dated 19.11.2014 issued by the State of Punjab as he is having permanent disability of 45% of left lower limb. Upon notice, during the course of hearing today a copy of office order dated 19.7.2018 has been produced wherein it is stated that petitioner on attaining the age of superannuation of 58 years was retired w.e.f. 31.5.2018, however, following the filing of the instant writ petition the matter was reconsidered and order dated 8.3.2018 vide which petitioner was retired has been cancelled, petitioner has been reinstated in service with immediate effect upto the age of 60 years under handicapped quota with all consequential benefits. Copy of office order dated 19.7.2018 is taken on record.
