    is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing the respondents to count the service rendered by the petitioner on the post of SPO as qualifying service for the purpose of seniority and other consequential benefits 2.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties are ad idem that similar issue has been decided by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in CWP No.1884 of 2025 titled as Bhagwant Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others, decided on 24.01.2025 wherein it has been held that the service rendered on the post of SPO cannot be taken into consideration as a qualifying service for the purpose of seniority and other consequential benefits.

It has further been brought to the notice of this Court that LPA No.2303 of 2025 preferred against the judgment rendered in DIWAKER GULATI 2026.05.20 15:45 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document -1-

 

 

Bhagwant Singh and others' case (supra) has also been dismissed by the LPA Bench vide judgment dated 30.09.2025. 4.

In light of the abovesaid facts and the judgment passed by the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in Bhagwant Singh and others' case (supra), the present writ petition is dismissed. '

Pending application(s), if any, shall also stand(s) disposed of.
