The present petition is for grant of protection to the life and liberty of the petitioners.

At the outset, learned State counsel has submitted that in fact, the representation made by them has already been looked into and the petitioners have got their statements recorded on 19.07.2023 to the extent that they had approached this Court for registering their marriage. Apparently, the petitioners were either misinformed or never had any threat perception.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has vehemently argued that the threat perception was there, however, at a later stage, after filing of the petition, the same was resolved.

After hearing the counsel for the parties, nothing survives in the present petition.

Accordingly, the present petition stands dismissed. Although, it is a fit case to impose exemplary cost on the petitioners, however, taking a lenient view the cost is not being imposed and a word of caution is issued to the petitioners not to abuse the process of law by filing such frivolous petition.
