The instant petition has been filed for issuance of direction to respondent No. 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of private respondents against whom FIR No.0162 dated 07.10.2019 under Sections 302/120-B/201 IPC was got registered at Police Station City Fazilka, District Fazilka, at the instance of the petitioner for threatening him in connivance with the police to compromise the matter or else face the consequences.

It has been submitted that the petitioner was called to the police station and pressurize to effect a compromise with the private respondents. Thereafter, a representation dated 05.10.2020 (Annexure P4) was made to the S.S.P. Fazilka (respondent No.2) for redressal of his grievance but no action has been taken thereon so far.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 for taking a decision on the representation dated 05.10.2020 (Annexure P4) submitted by the petitioner.

In the circumstances, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. S.S.P, Fazilka, to look into the representation dated 05.10.2020 (Annexure P4) of the petitioner and take appropriate steps and action, as may be required, as per law by passing a speaking order within a period of two weeks from today.
