Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that against the final voter list, appeal can be preferred before the competent authority under the Punjab State Election Commission Act, 1994, hence, liberty be given to file an appeal to challenge the final voter list and the respondents be directed to decide the same.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that in case any appeal is received within a period of 24 hours, the same will be decided in accordance with law before finalizatioin of the nomination papers in terms of the notification issued in the scheduled election to be held on 26.05.2026. 3.

At this stage, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the VANITA 2026.05.18 17:44 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order and judgment

CWP-15498-2026 petitioners submits that the present petition may kindly be disposed of having been not pressed any further, at this stage with liberty to file an appeal. 4.
