Through the instant writ petition, prayer is made for issuance of directions upon the official respondents to initiate departmental proceedings against the respondent No.4, as she has taken all the service benefits on the basis of forged and fabricated documents, regarding which FIR No.14 dated 18.01.2021, under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 201 of the IPC, has already been registered at P.S. City-I, District Sangrur. 2.

What emerges from perusal of the record is that, the respondent No.4 has already retired and now she is facing trial in the FIR (supra). 3.

Moreover, the learned State counsel has, on instructions imparted to him by A.S.I. Mohinder Singh, informed this Court that, in the FIR (supra), charges were framed on 22.02.2022 and out of total 19 witnesses, 15 witnesses are yet to be examined. 4.

In view of the above, this Court is of the opinion that, at this DEVINDER YADAV 2025.05.21 09:30 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CWP-17435-2022 stage, the asked for direction cannot be issued, as the trial launched in the FIR (supra) is yet to conclude. Once the trial gets concluded, it is for the Department concerned to take the final decision in the matter. Consequently, the instant writ petition is closed.

Disposed of accordingly.
