* * * * AVNEESH JHINGAN, J. (ORAL) The present petition has been filed for quashing of an order dated 26.04.2018 (Annexure P-13) whereby stay on the suspension of the petitioner, namely, Rajinder Singh has been declined.

The learned senior counsel for the petitioners while arguing the petition restricts his prayer that respondent No. 1 be directed to decide the appeal on merits in a time bound manner.

In view of the peculiar facts of the case, it is desirable that respondent No. 1 would decide the appeal on merits as expeditiously as possible taking into consideration the fact that the appeal would be rendered infructuous with the passage of time.
