The present Criminal Writ Petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus directing the official respondents for releasing the detenue namely Navdeep Kaur, who has been illegally detained by private respondents.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner, despite the counsel having been intimated about the date fixed. Same was the situation on the previous date of hearing as well.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Kanwaljit Singh, submits that the alleged detenue is residing with her husband with her free will and her statement in this regard has also been recorded, as such. 4.

In view of the above, this Court does not find any substance in the present petition and the same is dismissed.
