(Oral) The State Election Commission, Haryana vide order dated 06.03.2014 (P-1) debarred various candidates from contesting the Gram Panchayat elections in future due to their failure to submit the accounts of election expenses when they had contested the Panchayati Raj General Elections held in the year 2010. The petitioner was debarred for a period of three years.

The petitioner has now laid challenge to the aforementioned order on the plea that the same was never conveyed to him. He further submits that he is ready and willing to furnish the aforesaid accounts as he wants to contest the ensuing Gram Panchayat elections.

In our considered view, the petitioner has to firstly comply with the mandatory conditions and satisfy the State Election Commission who may then sympathetically consider MOHINDER KUMAR 2015.09.28 12:09 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.20314 of 2015 [2] his request for reduction in the period debarring the petitioner from contesting the elections. We are sanguine that the State Election Commission shall decide the petitioner's request as early as possible and preferably within two weeks from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order.
