*** JASWANT SINGH, J. (ORAL) The petitioner is serving as Public Distribution Clerk and posted at PUNSUP, Fazilka.
By filing the present petition, he has challenged his suspension order dated 14.05.2018 (Annexure P-1). On the previous date of hearing i.e. on 06.07.2018, the following order was passed:- "It is contended that the petitioner had relinquished the charge on 16.04.2018 of his posting at PUNSUP, Faridkot on his transfer to Fazilka. At the time of relieving of the charge, as per joint verification report there was no shortage of rice detected. It is urged that even in the FIR lodged by the PUNSUP the allegations of siphoning off rice/paddy/mount is only against the miller and not against the officials. Hence it is AMIT KAUNDAL 2018.08.15 10:56 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
CWP No.14060 of 2018 (O & M) -2contended that the suspension of the petitioner vide order dated 14.05.2018 (P-1) is without any basis or application of mind.

At the time of hearing, CM-11700-CWP-2018 has been filed by the applicant/petitioner for placing on record documents (Annexures P-7 and P-8).
Learned counsel for the respondents-PUNSUP states that at the time of transfer from Faridkot to Fazilka, the petitioner has not handed over complete charge and upon a preliminary inquiry, the petitioner along with others is being proceeded against by issuance of a chargesheet dated 11.06.2018. Hence, the suspension is sought to be justified. At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner prays for permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to take all the pleas as taken herein, in the inquiry proceedings.
