The present petition is filed seeking directions to the official respondents i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur and S.H.O. Police Station Bhawanigarh, District Sangrur for impartial investigation and registering a criminal case against the private respondents on the basis of complaints dated 1.10.2020 and 3.10.2020.

As per pleadings, there is an allegation that while the sand was being unloaded, the truck of the petitioners bearing registration No. PB-13A-5231 was forcibly taken away by the private respondents. Learned State counsel appearing on advance notice, submits that the complaint is being looked into by the S.H.O. In view of statement made, the present petition is disposed of. Let the official respondents look into the matter as expeditiously as possible and if need so arises, petitioners be also associated in the proceedings. It is clarified that in case there is a conclusion that truck of the petitioner is with the private respondents, necessary steps would taken to ensure that the petitioner is not deprived of his truck for a long time thereby making him to suffer.
