Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 7, who are averse to their live in relationship 2.

Learned State counsel, at the outset, opposed the prayer made by the counsel opposite by submitting that an FIR No.0106 dated 29.06.2024 under Sections 363, 366-A of the IPC registered at Police Station Basti Bawa Khel, District Police Commissionerate, Jalandhar, stands registered against petitioner No.2 at the instance of respondent No.6 who is the brother of petitioner No.1.

In the circumstances, no ground is made out to issue directions as prayed for.
