Manvir Singh And ORS. v. State Of Punjab And ANR.
In the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, at Chandigarh Civil Writ Petition No. 20350 of 2015 Date of Decision: 23.09.2015 Manvir Singh and Others ... Petitioner(s)
Versus
State of Punjab and Another ... Respondent(s)
CORAM:
Hon'ble Mr. Justice G.S.Sandhawalia.
Present:
Mr. Amrik Singh, Advocate for the petitioner(s).
G.S.Sandhawalia, J.
The petitioners have filed the objections to the tentative seniority list of Lecturer Cadre (Male & Female) issued on 11.9.2015 (Annexure P7). The challenge to the same, at this stage, on the ground that the same is being finalized without keeping in mind the rules framed by the State of Punjab is premature.
Once the petitioners have filed their objections to the tentative seniority list, it is expected that the State shall take the same into account keeping in view the objections which have been raised before the list is finalized. In case the State does not take into account the objections and finalizes the list, it will always be open to the petitioners to challenge the final seniority list. Resultantly, at this stage, interference would not be justified.
With the above observations, the present petition is dismissed as premature, in limine.
