(Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court by way of Public Interest Litigation under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking quashing the provisions of circular/policy dated 21.11.2002 (Annexure P-1), as read with further amendment circular dated 18.7.2005 (Annexure P-4), issued by respondent No.2. Further, prayer has been made to direct the respondents to set up a High level team of honest officers to inquire into scam under which 24 persons have been given compassionate appointments in the Punjab School Education Board, Mohali.

After arguing for sometime, the petitioner, who appears in-person states that he may be allowed to withdraw the present writ petition. 3.
