AMIT RAWAL J. (Oral) Prayer in present writ petition is for issuance of writ in the nature of mandamus directing respondents to grant minimum regular pay scale meant for the posts of Patwari and arrears of salary paid to the petitioners from the initial date of their appointment alongwith market rate of interest.
Mr. Tejpal Singh Dhull, learned counsel appearing on behalf of petitioners relies upon order dated 28.11.2018 (Annexure P-4) passed by this Court wherein similar relief has been granted to the similar situated employees. He submits that petitioners, at this stage, would be satisfied if a direction is issued to respondent No.2 to consider and decide representation dated 20.03.2019 (Annexure P-3) within some specified time. CWP No.19763 of 2019 {2} petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to decide the representation dated 20.03.2019 (Annexure P-3) within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. In case, claim of the petitioners is accepted, consequential benefits, if any, be released to them, in accordance with law and if the claim of the petitioners is not to be accepted, then a well reasoned and speaking order be passed and conveyed to the petitioners forthwith. In case, representation is not decided within aforementioned specified time, there shall be costs of Rs.50,000/- to be paid by the concerned officer to the petitioners.
