The substantive prayer made in the petition reads thus: 'It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that the petition under Section 483 read with 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 for grant of Regular Bail to the petitioner in FIR No. 257 dated 21.09.2014 under Sections 148, 149, 323, 324, 307, 452, 427 of IPC and Section 25 of Arms Act, 1959 registered at Police Station Chandimandir, District Panchkula, (ANNEXURE P-1) may kindly be allowed, in the interest of justice. It is further prayed that during the pendency of the instant Petition, Interim Ball may kindly be granted to the Petitioner keeping in view his adverse medical condition.'

On 28.5.2025, the following order was passed: 'The present petition has been filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023 read with Section 528 of BNS for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case bearing FIR No.257 dated 21.09.2014, under Sections 148, 149, 323, 324, 307, 452, 427 of IPC and Section 25 of Arms Act, 1959, registered at Police Station Chandimandir, District Panchkula. In view thereof, it is clear that learned counsel for the petitioner had not pressed the regular bail at that stage, i.e. on 25.8.2025 and had pressed the relief only qua interim bail.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has sought to withdraw his plea for grant of interim bail also today, at this stage. 5.
