The petitioner has challenged the notifications dated 02.06.2009 (Annexure P-1) and 02.06.2010 (Annexure P-2) issued under Sections 4 and 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, and order dated 24.12.2013 (Annexure P-22), to the extent of purported acquisition of their land fully described in para 8 of the writ petition.

The Land Acquisition Collector has filed the written statement. In para 5 thereof, it is averred that no award has been passed in respect of the petitioners' land and the acquisition proceedings have been dropped on the recommendations made by the Committee. Para 5 of the written statement, dated 24.07.2014 to this effect reads as follows: "5. The Government has approved the recommendation of Meenu 2016.08.16 11:35 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh

CWP-2120-2014 (O&M) -2the Committee to release the land falling in Khasra Nos.106//6min(4K-4M), 15/1 (1K-18M) total measuring 6K2M falling in the revenue estate of village Badshahpur, District Gurgaon.

In view of above, the land of the petitioner Khasra No.106//6min (4K-4M), 15/1(1K-18M) total measuring 6K2M falling in the revenue estate of village Badshahpur, District Gurgaon is released from Acquisition and the proceedings with respect to remaining land are dropped in view of decision of the Government."

In this view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.
