JASWANT SINGH, J. (ORAL) Petitioners are working as Electricians/Generator Operator/Refrigerator Mechanics forming part of a technical cadre with the respondent-University. Their grievance is that a higher grade pay has been approved and granted to the Cadre of Book Binders than the cadre of the petitioners without assigning any reason, although both are considered part of the same Technical Cadre and had been throughout been placed in the identical pay scales.

CWP-14280-2018 (O&M) requested Mr.Ajaivir Singh, Panel Advocate, for the Punjabi University, Patiala, to apprise the Court of the factual position. At the time of hearing today, Mr.Ajaivir Singh, Panel Advocate, for the Punjabi University, Patiala, states that a Committee had been constituted by the Vice Chancellor to look into the grievance of the present petitioners and the said Committee vide its proceedings dated 5.12.2018, has declined the claim of the petitioners and has sent its recommendations to be placed before the Syndicate. A copy of the recommendation dated 5.12.2018, has been made available which is taken on record as Mark 'A', as also supplied to Mr.Manu K.Bhandari, Advocate, for the petitioners.

In view of aforesaid, counsel for the petitioners prays for permission to withdraw the instant petition to enable his clients to seek their remedy in accordance with law.
