This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of direction to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of respondent No.4. 2.

Status report by way of affidavit of Mr. Talwinder Kumar, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Rural, District Hoshiarpur filed by learned State counsel is taken on record. Registry to scan the same and tag at the appropriate place. It has been stated in the status report that in the present case, after a thorough investigation, a cancellation report has been prepared.

Faced with the same, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he does not wish to press the present petition. However, he seeks liberty to avail his remedies as available in law.
