Acquisition of land, where notification under Section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (for short, the 'Act') was issued on 25.4.1978, which was followed by notification under Section 6 of the Act on 20.1.1979 is sought to be challenged by filing the present petition in the year 2017, i.e., more than three decades thereafter, merely on the ground that the land has not been utilised for the purpose, it was acquired. The same deserves to be dismissed only on account of delay and laches. Ordered accordingly.
