(ORAL) Feeling aggrieved against impugned communications dated 5.8.2016 (Annexure P-6) and 11.8.2016 (Annexure P-7) issued by respondents No. 1 and 2, respectively, petitioner has approached this Court, by way of instant writ petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ in the nature of Certiorari, for quashing the impugned communications.

After hearing learned counsel for the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, lest it should prejudice the rights of either of the parties and also keeping in view the nature of controversy, present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Deputy Commissioner, Rupnagar-respondent No.2 to depute a responsible Amit Kumar 2016.09.22 18:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Civil Writ Petition No. 19748 of 2016 officer to inspect the site and verify whether grievance raised by some families of the village is genuine or not. Thereafter, he shall pass an appropriate order regarding cutting/removing the trees in question either partially or fully, as per the exigency of the situation and also keeping in view the interest of the residents of the village. Let the Deputy Commissioner, Rupnagar-respondent No.2 complete the abovesaid process at an early date and in any case within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. With the abovesaid observations made and directions issued, present petition stands disposed of.
