RAMESHWAR SINGH MALIK, J Feeling aggrieved against the alleged inaction on the part of respondent authorities, petitioner has approached this court by way of instant writ petition, under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking a writ in the nature of Mandamus.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that although the petitioner is praying for a writ in the nature of Mandamus, yet he did not approach the respondent authority by moving an appropriate representation or legal notice because of inadvertent and bonafide mistake on his part. He further submits that given an opportunity, the petitioner shall approach the respondent authority by moving an appropriate representation within a period of four weeks from today and respondent no.2 may be directed to consider the GREESH SAHNI 2015.02.10 11:06 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CWP No.2072 of 2015 grievance of the petitioner, within a reasonable time. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, lest it should prejudice the rights of either of the parties, Chief Forest Conservator, Department of Forest, Haryana, C-18, Van Bhawan, Sector 6, Panchkula-respondent no.2 is directed that if the petitioner approaches him by moving an appropriate representation within a period of four weeks from today, he shall consider and decide the same at an early date, by passing an appropriate order thereon, strictly in accordance with law, but in any case within a period of three months from the date of receipt of representation from the petitioner. With the abovesaid observations made and directions issued, the present writ petition stands disposed of.
