(Oral) The present writ petition has been filed petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India read with Section 3(1) of the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, 1962. The limited prayer in the present petition is for deciding the application dated 10.04.2023 filed for releasing the petitioner on parole due his father's medical condition.

Learned State counsel has pointed out that the petitioner had committed another offence when he was released on parole on the last occasion, i.e last year. He has further stated that the application has not yet been decided.
