Mr. Jitender Singh Dadwal, Advocate for the petitioner. HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Petitioner has preferred instant petition seeking directions to respondent Nos.1 to 5 to protect her life and liberty as well as her family members at the hands of respondent Nos.8 to 14. It is the case of the petitioner that respondent Nos.8 & 9 are her son and daughter-in-law respectively. The petitioner has already disowned them and does not wish to have any concern with them. However, respondent Nos.8 & 9 with the help of police officials not only entered her house but beat her daughter as well as son-in-law, who sustained injuries vide MLR (P.1).
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has repeatedly approached the police Authorities to take action against the said accused but no action as yet has been taken in this regard. The petitioner has also submitted a representation (P.2) addressed to respondent No.2-SSP, Kapurthala.
Without in any way commenting upon the merits of the case or opining on the veracity of the allegations contained in the representation, this petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into the said representation and take appropriate action as may be warranted in law.
