The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying for the quashing of FIR No.139 dated 14.08.2022, under Sections 323, 341, 34 of IPC, registered at Police Station Pasyana, District Patiala, on the basis of a compromise deed dated 30.06.2023(Annexure P-2). 2.
After almost one year of the pendency of this petition and availing three opportunities to get the statements recorded, learned counsel for the petitioners prays for withdrawal of the present petition. More so, the cost imposed vide order dated 07.02.2024 has also not been deposited. 3.
In light of the above, the present petition deserves to be dealt with strictly and the same is dismissed with costs of Rs.20,000/- which shall be deposited by the petitioners in the Poor Patients Welfare Fund, PGIMER, Chandigarh 4.
The Investigating Officer is directed to take prompt action and arrest all the accused immediately without any further delay, failing which appropriate action shall be taken for his non-performance. 5.
