Mr. Sandeep Arora, Advocate, for the petitioner. Mr. Karan Singh, Advocate, for the respondents. **** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) Petitioner has sought a writ in the nature of mandamus to direct respondents no.2 and 3 to issue passport to the petitioner as considerable time has lapsed since submission of the application.

Reply by way of short affidavit of Narender Kumar, Senior Superintendent, Regional Passport Office, Jalandhar, has been filed. Same is taken on record. Learned counsel representing Union of India has referred to Para 05 thereof. He submits that in case the petitioner completes the necessary formalities as required by the authority, his case shall be considered forthwith. In view of stand taken by the respondents, this petition is disposed of with the observation that, in case, the petitioner complies with the requirements within one month from today, his case shall be considered within two weeks thereafter.
