Learned counsel submits that the service rendered by the petitioner on officiating basis, has not been taken into consideration for the purpose of promotion, with regard to which, a legal notice dated 20.03.2023, Annexure P-8, has been served upon respondents, however, the same has yet not evoked any response. He thus, on instructions prays that a direction may be given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner, to which learned State counsel has no objection to the limited prayer made. 2.

In view of the above and without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the legal notice dated 20.03.2023, within a period of 6 months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner.
