G.S.SANDHAWALIA, J. (Oral) Admittedly, the petitioner has not approached the respondents for the necessary relief in pursuance of the directions of this Court in the writ petition filed by Ranjit Singh and others decided on 11.03.2015 (Annexure P-3).

In such circumstances, the present writ petition is not maintainable at this stage since a writ of mandamus cannot be issued in the absence of any demand having been raised and denied. Counsel for the petitioner prays for withdrawal of the present writ petition with liberty to approach the respondents firstly. Ordered accordingly.
