(Oral) The petitioner seeks the benefit of the promotional increment in view of the circular dated 23.04.1990 (Annexure P-1) and also circular dated 18.11.2011 (Annexure P-4) especially in view of the judgments passed by this Court in CWP No. 8441 of 2018 decided on 05.04.2018, CWP No. 11585 of 2016 decided on 02.06.2016 and CWP No. 20139 of 2015 decided on 29.02.2016 (Annexure P-5 colly). It is averred that consequent to it, various orders were passed by the respondent-Corporation by which the benefit of 23 years promotional increment has already been granted to the similarly situated employees alongwith interest @ 18% per annum.

Counsel, at the outset, submits that legal notice dated 10.05.2018 (Annexure P-6) as such has been served upon the respondents qua grievance of the petitioner and, therefore, she would be satisfied if the competent authority decides the same within a fixed time frame. Without commenting upon the merits of the case and the

entitlement of the petitioner and keeping in mind the matter is still pending consideration, the present writ petition is disposed of with the direction to respondent no. 2 to take a decision on the legal notice dated 10.05.2018 (Annexure P-6) within a period of 3 months from the receipt of the certified copy of this order.

In case the amount becomes due to the petitioner, the same be paid expeditiously. Needless to say that, in case, the relief is to be denied, then a speaking order be passed and be conveyed to the petitioner. 01.06.2018 (G.S.
