Gurdev Singh, who was junior to the petitioner in the cadre of Clerk and only on the basis of reservation, he was promoted as an Assistant on 07.03.1986, whereas, petitioner was promoted as an Assistant in the year 1987 and therefore, keeping in view the instructions dated 22.10.1999, petitioner was entilted for the step up of his pay to equivalent to his junior, namely, Sh. Gurdev Singh. Counsel for the petitioner states that for the relief which has been sought in the present writ petition, the petitioner has served the respondents with a legal notice on 20.12.2018 (Annexure P-5), which is still pending consideration with the respondents and the petitioner will be NARESH KUMAR 2019.07.18 16:49 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Present writ petition stands disposed of.
