The petitioners claim similar directions as were issued in Bharti Gupta and others vs. State of Punjab and others (CWP No.12023 of 2015) on 29th May, 2015 regarding the grievance of the petitioners to remove the pay anomaly between senior and junior ETT teachers in Zila Parishad working in the State of Punjab. The anomaly has resulted on account of wrong implementation of the ACP scheme on completion of four years of service qua the persons who were junior to the petitioners resulting in higher pay to them. The seniors claim that their pay should be stepped up and brought at par with the juniors. It is well accepted principle that a junior should not get higher salary than the senior, all things being equal. This Court in the aforesaid petition disposed of the matter with the direction to the decision-maker amongst the respondents to consider and MANJU 2015.10.08 14:55 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

A direction was also issued to pass a comprehensive order assigning reasons in support of the decision arrived at. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that similar direction be issued in the present case so that the dispute is settled on parity and on the same principle.
