**** JAISHREE THAKUR, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner herein submits that the petitioner is entitled to a government job under the policy dated 08.11.2011 (Annexure P-1) and the subsequent policy dated 28.02.2014 on account of his land having been acquired for a Power Plant at village Gobindpura District Mansa. Subsequent to the land having been acquired the petitioner approached the department for appointment. However, to date the case of the petitioner has not been considered. The petitioner herein also submits that an application dated 02.11.2015 (Annexure P-3) along with complete documents has been given but the same has not been decided so far. Notice of motion.

Mr. Avinit Avasthi, learned AAG, Punjab is directed to accept notice. Learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to serve three sets of the paper book to him during the course of the day. Mr. Avasthi, learned AAP, Punjab submits that the said application of the petitioner will be decided within a period of two months. CWP-1660-2017 -2I have heard learned counsel for the parties. In view of the fact that an application filed by the petitioner seeking a job in lieu of the land acquired is still pending consideration, the writ petition is disposed of by giving a direction to the respondents-State to consider the application of the petitioner and pass a speaking order within a period of two months on receipt of certified copy of this order. Needless to say, in case there is any merit in the said application, the petitioner be considered for a government job in consonance with the government policy. This exercise be done within a period of three months thereafter.
