1.
After having heard the learned counsel representing the parties at length, this Court is of the opinion that the present writ petition involves highly disputed questions of fact.
2.
On the one hand, in the service book, the date of birth of the petitioner is recorded as 23.01.1961, whereas, in the self-declaration form, the petitioner has disclosed his date of birth as 02.06.1955. In this writ petition, the petitioner claims for the issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to restore his date of regularization w.e.f. 01.04.1986 which was changed to 01.12.1994. The writ petition was filed after a period of six years from the date the impugned order was passed.
3.
Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the petitioner, if so advised, may avail an alternative remedy. Accordingly, the present writ petition is disposed of.
