**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioner has preferred this writ petition in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to initiate the enquiry and take action with respect to illegal felling of about 22 trees from the complex of the electricity department regarding which the numerous representations were filed by the petitioner. Notice of motion was issued on 23.08.2018.

As per written statement filed by the respondents, the department has found that it was felling of kikar trees which were cut down from the land of 33 KV Sub Station, Danonda. AMANDEEP GOSAIN 2022.03.09 17:47 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP-16616-2017(O&M) The respondents have taken a stand that some kikar trees were situated just beneath the 33 KV line and due to which the line used to get tripped repeatedly. As per the consensus arrived amongst the staff members, the trees were cut and after due assessment, the amount was deposited in the proper account. Sale price of Rs.1800/- was deposited vide receipt No.107/080419 dated 13.01.2015, in the account of Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN). The proper assessment was got done by the competent authority. The description of Kikar trees were found with reference to different parameters and the same were found to be in volume of 0.30 M3. The estimated value of Kikar trees was Rs.1080/- to which an amount of Rs.720 was also added towards miscellaneous charges. In this way the total amount of Rs.1800/- was deposited in the appropriate account.

In view of the reply filed by the respondents, no further order is required to be passed and the same is accordingly disposed of.
