3. Whether the judgment should be reported in the Digest? --- Surya Kant, J. (Oral) The petitioners are residents of village Samaspur, Tehsil Thanesar, District Kurukshetra. They have questioned the reservation of seats of Panches of the Gram Panchayat of their village as, according to them, the same has been done contrary to the provisions of the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994. It is alleged that Ward No.5 is being reserved repeatedly without following Section 9 (3) of the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, which, inter-alia, provides that the ward where maximum population of reserved community resides, ought to be reserved for such community.

Having pointed-out that the elections of Gram Panchayats in Haryana have since been announced and election process for 2015 elections has started, learned counsel for the petitioners submits and rightly so that let the above-mentioned claim raised by the petitioners vide representations dated 02.03.2015, 10.08.2015 and 31.08.2015 be effectively considered by the authorities keeping in view MOHINDER KUMAR 2015.10.08 11:44 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
