The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of order dated 06.07.2023 (Annexure P-3) passed by respondent No.2-Deputy Commissioner, Amritsar, vide which, the petitioners have been denied the Right to consult and be defended by a Lawyer of their choice as mandated under Article 22 (1) of Constitution of India, with certain other prayers made in the present petition. 2.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Aman Pal, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of respondent Nos.1 & 2 and submits that the State has never denied the petitioners' right to get legal assistance from the Lawyer of their choice. In fact, the State has been permitting such request as and when made by any detenue, including the person detained in Assam relating to the same incident. In view of the aforesaid submission, learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission to withdraw the present petition with liberty to approach the Authorities through proper channel and in accordance with law.
