This order shall dispose of 3 writ petitions mentioned in the foot note of this order as identical facts and prayer is involved in these petitions. However, for the sake of convenience facts are being noticed from CWP 21203/2015.

Land of the petitioners measuring 1.14 acres situated in revenue estate in Village Rajpura, H.B.No.366,Tehsil and District Pathankot was acquired on 6.5.2014 after following the due procedure and compensation paid. Petitioners approached Deputy Commissioner,Pathankot,Distt.Pathankot-respondent no.5 by way of representation dated 24.12.2014 for seeking jobs and other legal rights under The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land

Acquisition,Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act,2013(for short 2013 Act). It is averred that State of Punjab framed policy for rehabilitation and resettlement of oustees of Ranjit Sagar Dam for which various rehabilitation package were introduced. The main and one of the rehabilitation measure was to appoint one member of the family of the landless and affected family according to the qualification and availability of vacancies on the project. Claiming themselves to be eligible under the said rehabilitation and resettlement scheme, instant writ petition has been filed to direct respondents to provide job and other benefits to the petitioners as per 2013 Act.

Upon notice separate replies by way of short affidavits of Kamaljeet Singh Kapoor,holding the charge of Chief Engineer,Shahpurkandi Dam Project, Irrigation Department,Shahpur Kandi Township, Tehsil and District Pathankot has been filed stating therein that claim of the petitioners in all the three writ petition was considered as per clause 8 of Rehabilitation and Resettlement policy dated 18.11.1993. After receipt of verification report from the Land Acquisition Officer regarding percentage of land holding acquired, names of all the petitioners in these three writ petitions were recommended for offer of appointment. It is further submitted that offer of appointments have also been given to the petitioners, as per detail given in each reply filed separately in all the three writ petition.
