(ORAL) The petitioner herein has approached this Court under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner for grant of second progression as admissible on completion of regular service of 9 years, in view of Punjab Civil Services (Assured Career Progression) Rules, 2011 and as per notification dated 22.07.2011 (Annexure P-5).

Learned counsel for the petitioners herein would contend that he would be satisfied in case representation dated 29.05.2022 (Annexure P7) submitted by the petitioner is decided by the official respondents within a stipulated period, in view of Punjab Civil Services (Assured Career Progression) Rules, 2011 and as per notification dated 22.07.2011 (Annexure P-5).
