The entire controversy in this case revolves around the certificate of apprenticeship training issued by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh (hereinafter referred to as the Board). At the first instance, respondent No.4 - Board issued the said certificate (Annexure P4) to the petitioner mentioning his name as 'Vipin Kumar' instead of 'Vipal Kumar'. The examinations in this case were conducted in April 2017 and the certificate in question was issued on 12.12.2017. The petitioner asked for correction of his name in the certificate. The fresh certificate (Annexure P10) after correction in the name of the petitioner was admittedly issued by respondent No.4-Board. CWP No.14976 of 2018 -2mentioned as 17.01.2018 on which an objection has been raised by respondents No.1 to 3 - PSPCL to the effect that it is not clear whether the petitioner has completed the apprenticeship training before 19.12.2017. Learned counsel for respondents No.1 to 3 - PSPCL submits that in case respondent No.4 - Board verifies that the completion of apprenticeship training by the petitioner was before 19.12.2017, appointment to the post of Assistant Line shall be offered to the petitioner subject to any other requisites, in accordance with law. Learned counsel for respondents No.1 to 3 further states that they have also written to respondent No.4 - Board for similar clarification in respect to a number of candidates including the petitioner. Learned counsel for respondent No.4-Board while not denying the issuance of the certificates (Annexures P4 and P10) submits that necessary information as required regarding the petitioner shall be conveyed to PSPCL on Monday i.e., 11.06.2018 itself.

In view of the facts and circumstances as above as well as the stand of respondents to 1 to 3 - PSPCL and respondent No.4, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Board to supply the necessary information by 11.06.2018. Thereafter, necessary steps be taken by respondents No.1 to 3 within one week thereafter, in accordance with law.

Petition is accordingly disposed of.
