This is a petition under Section 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971 for initiation of proceedings against the respondents for violation of the order dated 19.11.2024 passed in CWP-20571-2018. 2.

Learned State counsel has handed over a copy of the speaking order dated 28.07.2025 whereby in terms of the order dated 13.08.2008 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Civil Appeal Nos.5151-5152 of 2008, approval has been accorded for release of the payment of arrears for 36 months preceding the date of filing of the writ petition. 3.

Learned State counsel states that the payment of arrears would be released to the petitioners positively within a period of 02 weeks from today.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, no further orders are required to be passed in the present contempt petition.

Disposed off. Rule stands discharged. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.

However, liberty is granted to the petitioners to get the present contempt petition revived in case the amount is not released to them within 02 weeks.
